
The Starz Performing Company is hosting their 3rd Annual
Spring Show “A Cut Above” as a fundraiser to attend Spotlight Dance Cup Nationals July
5th – 10th in Anaheim, CA. Proudly all of our Starz choreography qualified for
nationals and it is the first time we are going as an entire team! This fundraiser will
be helping with competition fees, workshop fees, and travel expenses for our L.E.A.P
(Linking Education and Artistic Performance) members.
This year’s show will have all Starz Groups, Solos and
Duos, “Beastie Bunch”, a live auction, raffle, prizes for most ticket sales and cash
donations and Master of Ceremonies Mark Peterson!
The Spring Show will be held at the Bing Crosby Theater on
Sunday May 18th, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are available for sell now for $10.00 per
ticket payable to Starz (cash or check only). The Starz dancers will not need to
purchase tickets and are REQUIRED to sell 5 tickets each. The Starz office staff and
group teachers will not need to purchase a ticket (and will not have a seat) but are
expected to volunteer their time and donations would be appreciated. After the Starz
sell all their tickets it leaves 500 tickets left to sell to fill the house. Please
pull together and help sell as many tickets as possible. There will be a prize for most
tickets sold!!! The more you sell the more money you raise for L.E.A.P!
Cash donations will also be accepted! There will be a
prize for the most donations received. All donations are payable to L.E.A.P., a
donation letter is enclosed with specific information. We will also be having a live
auction during the show, we need baskets ($50 or more value) donated and to the north
studio ready for auction by Saturday May 10. Please include a detailed list of all
items in the basket with total value clearly marked. Large gift auction items are also
a great way to raise money. What we have had in the past was tickets to professional
sporting games, signed footballs and basketballs. This is the time to get creative!
Advertising for the show has begin and if you have any
connections to help advertise, please contact Shannon or Camille. The most important
advertising is word of mouth from you! Thanks to the Dysart family-Dove Printing has
donated all posters, tickets and program printing costs for the third year!!
Please make it your duty to inform ALL your dancers, their
parents, your family and friends of the Starz Spring Show promoting ticket sales and
donations.
