Dance Featured Student

Goals in dance: I have been dancing for 13 years and plan to for the next 50. I love dance, and I am so blessed to have found my passion so early in life. I hope to attend GU and minor in dance. I plan on teaching all the way through college and hopefully after. Nothing will ever keep me away from my passion. Dance will always be in my life, either in the classroom, onstage, or down in the basement, dance is what I do - it's my thing.

Goals in life:  I plan on dancing for the rest of my life. It's my passion, my release and my love. No matter my profession I hope to always be able to share my joy with others. I hope to attend Gonzaga University, continuing to the Law School. I want to also earn a minor in dance. I love Spokane and will most likely live here for ever, but after college I would love to move to NYC or LA and see where my dancing can take me. A year of real world experience, auditions and being independent will allow me to bring that knowledge back to my students. I would love to be on Broadway, performing every night, living the dancer's dream, but I would be just as happy performing on the street corner.


Dance Styles Studied: Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Starz performing Company, Modern, Pointe, Character and Lyrical

Message from Jackie's Mother: Jackie has many talents and is an exceptional academic student, but even when she was very young her dance class was the highlight of her week. She worked hard through each jump, leap and yearly level. The teachers at D. E., the students in her classes and her dance lesson have brought many valuable lessons into Jackie's life: patients, determination, tolerance and humility. These are all lessons that brought skills well beyond the dance steps. Jackie will always have dance in her life, as a performer, student, teacher or observer it will always being her bliss...
